Abstract

Ağrı çeşitli etyolojik faktörlerin neden olduğu, yaşam kalitesinde ve işgücünde düşmeye yol açan bir halk sağlığı sorunudur. Tedavi amaçlı alınan ilaçlar her zaman istenilen sonucu verememekte, bu durum hastaların farklı yöntemler aramasına neden olmaktadır. Bu anlamda gelişmiş ülkelerde tek başına veya beraber kullanılan yöntemlerden biri de akupunkturdur. Çok çeşitli alanlarda tamamlayıcı tedavi olarak kullanılsa da; ağrı akupunktur tedavisinin en çok kullanıldığı endikasyonlardan biridir. Bu yazıda ağrı tedavisinde akupunktur kullanımı ile ilgili bazı bilimsel çalışmalar gözden geçirilmiştir.

Acupuncture in the Treatment of Pain

Abstract

Pain is a public health problem caused by various etiological factors that leads to decrease in quality of life and labor.  Medication can not always produce the desired result, so patients may search for different methods for threatment. In this sense, acupuncture is one the method that used alone or complementary treatment in developed countries. Also used as complementary treatment in various fields; pain is one of the most commonly used indications that the acupuncture treatment. In this article some scientific studies on the use of acupuncture in the treatment of pain have been reviewed.
