<p>In parallel with the increasing obesity prevalence, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease has become the most common liver disease in many countries. Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is an important cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, as it has become the leading cause of liver transplantation, as well as cardiovascular, hepatic, metabolic and oncological sequelae. This epidemic and its consequences have prompted experts from around the world to identify effective strategies for the management and treatment of the disease. There is currently no approved drug therapy for the treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Therefore, modifiable risk factors such as diet and exercise remain as cornerstones in the management and treatment of the disease. Vitamins are micronutrients that are vital for a healthy life. Some studies have linked fatty liver disease with vitamin deficiencies. However, the mechanism underlying these relationships has not been fully elucidated. Therefore, this review aims to discuss the role of vitamins in the pathogenesis of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and explore their potential benefits in disease management.</p></trans-abstract>
