Abstract

Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) is a term defining a condition characterized with a set of clinical and radiological symptoms including epileptic attacks, abnormal changes in consciousness, headache, visual abnormalities, nausea and vomiting. It is diagnosed through MRI by observing bilateral and symmetric cerebral edema in occipital and parietal lobes. In this case report, we present the treatment and follow-up process in the intensive care unit of a patient who developed PRES with underlying preeclampsia.
