The comparative evaluation of results of arthrotomies and high resolution computerized tomographic findings in meniscal lesions

Abstract

In this study, the role of high resolution computerized tomography has been insevigatd in 48 patients who were thought to have meniscal lesions cilinically. Computerized tomographic findings have been compared with clinical findings and there results of operations of 17 patients. As a result, the accuracy of direct high resolution computerized tomography appeared to be 94.1% for medial meniscus lesions and 100% for lateral meniscus lesions.

Abstract

Öykü ve fizik inceleme bulguları ile menisküs lezyonu ön tanısı olan 48 olguda, lezyonunun tanısı ve görüntülenmesi amacı ile, yüksek resolusyonlu Bilgisayarlı Tomografi tekniğinin tanı değeri araştırılmıştır. Klinik ön tanı ile BT bulguları ve artrotomi uygulanmış 17 olguda cerrahi bulgular ile BT karşılaştırılmıştır. Sonuçta menisküs lezyonlarının tanımlanmasında yüksek resolusyonlu direkt BT teknik yönteminin medial menisküs lezyonlarında % 94,1, lateral menisküs lezyonlarında %100 oranında doğru tanıya ulaştığı gösterilmiştir.
