Ayağın sesamoid ve aksesuar kemikleri

Year 1995, Volume: 29 Issue: 4, 324 - 326, 11.09.2006

Abstract

Normal ayakta hiçbir kemiğin ana cismine tutunmayan iki tip kemik vardır. Bunlar sesamoid ve aksesuar kemiklerdir. 54 yaşındaki bayan olgumuz, 1992 yılında içe basarak yürüme şikayetiyle İstanbul Haydarpaşa Numune Hastanesi Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji polikliniğine başvurdu. Olgunun yapılan ortopedik ve radyolojik muayenesinde, her iki ayakta, medial kavisteki düzleşmeye ilaveten, birinci metatars başları altındaki normal yerleşimleri dışında, diğer metatars başları altında da sesamoid kemikleriyle bazı aksesuar kemikler saptandı. Anatomik varyasyon olan olgumuz nedeniyle, ayağın sesamoid ve aksesuar kemikleri literatür bilgisiyle gözden geçirildi.

The sesamoid and accessory bones of the foot

Year 1995, Volume: 29 Issue: 4, 324 - 326, 11.09.2006

Abstract

ln a normaI foot, there are two types of bones that remain unattached to the main body of any bone. These are the sesamoid and accessory bones. The female patient aged 54 years consulted at the Haydarpaşa Numune State Hospital, Orthopaedics and Traumatology outpatient department, in İstanbul. She complained of abducting the forefoot with weight bearing in the year of 1992. In the orthopaedic and radiologic examination of the case, besides flattening of the medial curve, in addition to the normal settlement of sesamoid bones under first metatarsal heads in both of the feet, some accessory bones with sesamoid bones on the other metatarsal heads were found. Because of the anatomic variation of our case, the Iiterature dates about the sesamoid and accessory bones of the feet are reviewed.
