Abstract

The diagnosis of suprascapular nerve compression was thought in a 21-old male patient who complained of shoulder pain. He was operated because of the nerve compression which is one rare cause of the shoulder pain. Hypertrophic transverse scapular ligament was cut and the nerve was decompressed. The patient was followed up clinically and with EMG examination. Pain and EMG finding of the patient was improved but muscle atrophy was attended

Abstract

Bir yıllık omuz ağrısı şikayeti olan 21 yaşındaki erkek hastada supraskapuler sinir basısı tanısı konuldu. Omuz ağrısının nadir sebeplerinden olan supraskapuler sinir basısı için hasta ameliyata alındı ve hipertrofik transvers skapular ligament kesilerek sinirin dekompresyonu sağlandı. Klinik seyir ve EMG ile takip edildi. Ağrısı ve EMG bulguları düzelen hastanın kas atrofisinin devam ettiği gözlendi.
