Chondromyxoid fibroma (clinicopathological findings in 23 cases)

Year 1998, Volume: 32 Issue: 4, 274 - 277, 11.09.2006

Abstract

Chondromyxoid fibroma (CMF) is a rare tumor of cartilaginous origin. Tibia is most commonly involved. Microscopically myxoid, chondroid and spindle cell areas are characteristic. In this study, we present 23 patients with a mean age of 25. Tibia was the leading site. Metaphyseal region was the most common location. One patient had a diaphyseal tumor. Three cases revealed cellular atypia. The differential diagnosis of CMF includes most importantly the myxoid chondrosarcoma.

Kondromiksoid fibrom (23 olguda klinikopatolojik özellikler)

Year 1998, Volume: 32 Issue: 4, 274 - 277, 11.09.2006
