Bu çalışmanın amacı, Bakara Sûresi’nin 205. ayetinin klasik tefsirlerdeki yorumlarını derinlemesine inceleyerek ayetin modern dünyanın problemleriyle ilişkisini kurmak ve böylelikle Kur’an’ın mesajının evrenselliğini ortaya koymaktır. Söz konusu ayette, güzel sözlerle insanları etkileyip, sonrasında yeryüzünde bozgunculuk yaparak ekini ve nesli yok etmeye çalışan bir karakter tasvir edilmektedir. Klasik müfessirler, ayet mesajının tarihe mâl olmuş kişilerle sınırlı olmayıp evrensel bir uyarı içerdiğini vurgulamışlardır. Modern yorumlar açısından bakıldığında ise ekolojik krizler, genetik müdahaleler, işlenmiş gıdaların sağlık üzerindeki etkileri ve toplumsal yozlaşma gibi çağdaş meseleler, ayette bahsedilen fesadın güncel örnekleridir. Ancak modern dünyada Kur’an ayetlerinin güncel sorunlarla ilişkilendirilmesi hususunda ciddi bir boşluk bulunmaktadır. Klasik tefsirlerde ayetler genelde nüzul sebepleri ve bağlamlarıyla ele alınmış, söz konusu ayetlerin modern meselelerle bağlantısı yeterince kurulamamıştır. Öte yandan bazı çağdaş yaklaşımlarda da bağlam dışı yorumlarla ayetlerin anlam bütünlüğünün zedelendiği görülmüştür. Dolayısıyla bu çalışmada konuya genel bir bakıştan sonra klasik tefsirlerin ve modern çalışmaların meseleye nasıl yaklaştıklarını bütüncül bir tarzda ele alınacak, bu hususta ön plana çıkan yorum ve değerlendirmelere yer verilecektir.
The aim of this study is to deeply examine the interpretations of verse 205 of Surah Al-Baqarah in classical commentaries, to establish the relationship of the verse with the problems of the modern world and thus to reveal the universality of the message of the Quran. The verse in question depicts a character who impresses people with beautiful words and then tries to destroy crops and species by causing mischief on earth. Classical commentators have emphasized that the message of the verse is not limited to historical figures but contains a universal warning. When viewed from the perspective of modern interpretations, contemporary issues such as ecological crises, genetic interventions, the effects of processed foods on health and social corruption are current examples of the corruption mentioned in the verse. However, there is a serious gap in the modern world in terms of relating Quranic verses to current problems. In classical commentaries, verses are generally addressed with the reasons for their revelation and their contexts, and the connection of these verses to modern issues has not been sufficiently established. On the other hand, it has been observed that the integrity of the meaning of the verses is damaged with out-of-context interpretations in some contemporary approaches. Therefore, in this study, after a general overview of the subject, how classical commentaries and modern studies approach the issue will be discussed in a holistic manner, and prominent comments and evaluations on this issue will be included.
