The primary objectives are to ensure AI's transparent, accurate, and impartial use in academic work, uphold academic integrity, and safeguard data privacy. This policy may be updated following developments in AI tools and their applications.
General Principles
1. Ethical Use: AI technologies may be an auxiliary tool for technical aspects such as grammar, spelling errors, and stylistic consistency. But the use of AI in the production, analysis, and interpretation of academic content is entirely the responsibility of the author.
2. Transparency: Authors are required to clearly state at which stages and how AI has been used in their manuscripts. This disclosure must be included in the ethical statement section of the manuscript.
3. Accuracy: The accuracy of AI-generated or AI-analyzed data must be verified through sources. Authors are responsible for any incorrect, incomplete, or misleading information.
4. Impartiality: AI technologies must be used in an impartial manner. To prevent potential conflicts of interest, authors must ensure transparency and explicitly disclose such situations in their ethical statements.
5. Privacy and Security: The confidentiality and security of personal data in AI usage is a priority. Data collection, storage, and processing must comply with privacy principles.
6. Citation: AI tools should not be cited in references or footnotes. However, this usage must be clearly stated in the ethical statement section.
Responsibilities
1. Authors: Authors bear full ethical and scientific responsibility for using AI technologies.
2. Reviewers and Editors: Journal management is responsible for verifying whether AI usage complies with established ethical standards and conducting necessary evaluations.
3. Updates and Adaptations: This policy will be regularly reviewed and updated based on advancements in AI technologies.
