In this study, it was aimed to develop a success test to determine how well the musical concepts, signs and symbols generally used in piano lessons can be recognized by the student. The study group consists of Trabzon University Fatih Education Faculty Music Teaching program students. During the test development phase, piano pieces played at undergraduate level and the terms used in these lessons were examined. 13 articles were written for these determined situations. Following expert opinions, the relevant test was applied to the students and the application process was planned and carried out on a voluntary participation basis, outside the normal examination process. After the test administered to 3rd and 4th graders, the data obtained were transferred to the computer environment and item analyzes were performed. The findings show that the reliability of the light test is high and the discrimination and difficulty levels are generally within reference limits. The overall test is moderately difficult and highly discriminative compared to the general reference values explained in the method section. Except for the fourth item, all other items are significant at the p<.05 level. Accordingly, it can be said that the items can generally distinguish the correct answer rates in the lower and upper groups.
