Divan edebiyatında güzellik, birçok yönden idealize edilmiş ve kavramsallaşmıştır. Bu ideal güzele/güzelliğe ulaşmak amacıyla şairler mazmunlar kurgulamışlar ve söz konusu güzelliği somutlaştırmak için maharet göstermişlerdir. Sevgili; güzellikte eşi benzeri olmayan, ulaşılmaz ve acımasızdır. Şair sevgiliyi tarif ederken onun saçını, kaşını, gözünü vb. soyut olmaktan çıkarıp çeşitli söz sanatlarıyla ona özgün bir varlık özelliği yüklemiştir. Bu çalışmada ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin güzellik anlayışları ile divan edebiyatındaki güzellik anlayışı karşılaştırılmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olgubilim (fenomenoloji) deseni kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubunu Ankara ilinde Millî Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı bir lisede 9, 10 ve 11. Sınıflarda öğrenim gören 88 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın verileri, öğrencilerin güzellik kavramına yönelik düşüncelerini yazmalarının istendiği iki sorudan oluşan bir formla elde edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde içerik çözümlemesi kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin cevapları her sınıf düzeyinde ayrı değerlendirilerek gruplandırılmıştır. Bu tasnife göre başlıklara ayrılan cevaplar, sınıf seviyelerine göre tablolar hâlinde sunulmuştur. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre lise öğrencilerinin güzellik anlayışı ile Divan edebiyatındaki güzellik anlayışı arasında somut/fiziksel güzellik açısından benzerlik vardır. İki gruba göre güzellik, estetik ve görünüş açısından mükemmelliktir. Araştırma, divan edebiyatında ele alınan sevgili ve âşık cephesinden işlenen sembolik ve idealize edilmiş güzellik anlayışının, öğrencilerin gerçek yaşamdaki güzellik anlayışını yansıtması bakımından önem arz etmektedir.
The concept of Beauty in Divan literature has been idealized and conceptualized in many ways. In order to achieve this ideal beauty, poets have constructed metaphors and have shown dexterity to embody the beauty around the lover and beloved. This concept is unequaled in beauty, inaccessible and ruthless.The poet describes this lover's hair, eyebrows, eyes, etc. He removed it from being abstract and gave it a unique existence feature with various rhetoric. In this study, high school students' understanding of beauty is being compared with the understanding of beauty in divan literature. Phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. The study group consisted of 88 students studying at 9th, 10th and 11th grades in a high school affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Ankara. The data of the research were obtained with a form consisting of two questions in which students were asked to write their thoughts on the concept of beauty. Content analysis was used in the analysis of the data. The answers of the students were evaluated separately at each grade level and grouped. According to this classification, the answers divided into headings are presented in tables according to grade levels. The results of the research showed that according to the students, the concept of beauty conforms to the aesthetic perfection and perfection in divan literature, but is rather related to abstract values. The beautiful person also carries the positive characteristics, not the negative character traits attributed to the beautiful person in divan literature. The research is important in terms of reflecting the students' understanding of beauty in real life, the symbolic and idealized understanding of beauty, which is handled from the side of the beloved and the lover, which is discussed in divan literature.
