Abstract

Kafa pozisyonunun otur - eriş test perfonnansına etkisinin araştıonayı amaçlayan bu çalışma)'a yaşları 7 - 18
arasında değişen 557' si erkek 585' i bayan toplam i J42 denek katıldl. Çalışmada denekler iki farklı teknikle
otur - eriş testi uyguladı, birincisinde deneğin kafası önde ve kollarının arasLnda iken ikincisinde kafa
gerideydi. Ölçümler sonucunda her iki teknik içinde bütün yaş grupları arasındaki fark Vaı)'ans Analizi ile (
ANOVA ) belirlenirken, iki teknik arasındaki fark ise her ikı cinsiyet için t testi ile belirlendi. Çalısma
sonuçlart bütün yaş gruplarında ve her iki cinsiyelte de kafanın önde olduğu tekniğin değerlerinin diğer
tekniğe göre anlamlı oranda yüksekti ( p<O.O i ). Aynca yine ölçüm sonuçlan gösterdi ki bayan deneklerin
esneklik değerleri her iki teknikte de erkeklerden daha yüksek çıkmıştır (p<O.OI). Sonuç olarak, otureriş
testi sırasında testin standart olması için testten önce kafanın pozisyonu belirtilmelidir.

Totally 1142 subjects who were 557 male and 585 female aged 7- 18 years participated in this study that was
purposcd to detennine the effect of different head pasition on sit and reach test perfomıance. In this study the
subjects perfonned sit and reaeh test with Iwo diffcrent techniques, for Ihe first technique head of subject was
in down between anns (head down positıon ) and for the seeand position head of subject was on behind (
head up position ). Differences between all age groups and both sex were deterrnined by ANOVA and
comparison of two techniquas was done by independent t tcsl. Results indicated that in aH ages and both sex
scores of sit and reach test in head down pasition was signifıcantly higher than head up pasition (p<O.Ol).
Alsa results reflected that female subjects had significantly higher score than male in both techniques
(p<O.O i ).Consequent1y to standardize the sit and reac test Iıead pasition of the subject should be explained
be fare the test.
