Bu çalışmanın amacı implant üstü protezlerde uygulanan okluzyon tiplerini ve ideal okluzyon hazırlamada dikkat edilmesi gereken kriterleri incelemektir. Aşırı uzun kanatlar, parafonksiyonel hareketler, aşırı prematür temaslar, geniş okluzal tabla, tüberkül eğimlerinin fazla olması, düşük kemik yoğunluğu ve kalitesi, yetersiz sayıda implant uygulanması implantlarda aşırı yüklenmeye sebep olan nedenlerdir. Uzun dönem implant başarısı için implant okluzyonunu fizyolojik sınırlarlarda tutmak ve implanta gelen yüklerin optimal olmasını sağlamak önemlidir. Bu çalışmada optimal implant okluzyonu için dikkat edilmesi gereken noktalar tartışılmaktadır. Günümüzde implantlara özel okluzyon konseptleri ile ilgili çok fazla çalışma bulunmamaktadır. Bu alanda implant başarısı ile okluzyon arasındaki ilişki ile ilgili çalışmaların yapılması gereklidir
