                                                                                                                        <abstract><p>Bu çal man n amac fan tipi ve konvansiyonel h zlüst çene geni letme apareylerinin (RME) dentoalveoler etkilerinin incelenmesi ve kar la t r lmas d r. Çal man nmateryalini 30 bireyin tedavi öncesi ve sonras lateral, postero anterior sefalometrik radyografileri ile ortodontik modelleri olu turmaktad r. Fan tipi RME grubunu; molarlar aras geni li7i normal olan fakat anterior bölgesi daralm maksillaya sahip 15 birey, konvansiyonel RME grubunu ise tranvers yönde maksiller yetersizli7e sahip posteriorda çapraz kapan olan 15 birey olu turmu tur. Tedavi ile meydana gelen de7i imleri de7erlendirmek için tedavi öncesi ve sonras veriler aras nda E le tirilmi t testi uygulanm t r. Apareylerin dentoalveoler etkilerini kar la t rmak için ise gruplar ntedavi öncesi ve sonras farklar aras nda Student’s t testi yap lm t r. Her iki grupta da üst çenenin, istatistiksel olarak önemli düzeyde a a7 ya ve öne do7ru hareket etti7i tespit edilmi tir. Alt çenenin a a7 ya ve geriye do7ru rotasyon yapt 7 ancak bu de7i ikli7in istatistiksel olarak önemli olmad 7 bulunmu tur. Fan tipi h zl üst çene geni letme apareyi ile üst molarlar aras mesafede ortalama 1,46 mm’lik art olurken kaninler arasmesafede 4,02 mm art n oldu7u, konvansiyonel h zlüst çene geni letme apareyi ile molarlar aras mesafede 7,23 mm’lik art olurken kaninler aras mesafede 2,44 mm’lik art n oldu7u tespit edilmi tir. Bu sonuçlar üst çene ön bölgesindeki daralmay düzeltmede Fan tipi RME apareyinin konvansiyonel h zl üst çene geni letme apareyinden daha iyi oldu7unu göstermi tir</p></abstract>
