Anahtar Kelimeler: Sonlu eleman analiz yöntemi, SESA, Stres analizleri,Stres dağılımı, Diş implantlarıFINITE ELEMENT STRESSANALYSIS METHOD AND RESEARCHES ON DENTAL IMPLANTOLOGYABSTRACTInall branches of medicine including dentistry, it is not always possible formany studies to be done in clinical conditions due to ethical reasons, highcosts and technical difficulties. Moreover, these studies may be interrupt dueto the human or animal factors, and it is not always possible to revive theresearch under exactly the same conditions. Finite element analysis method (FEA), whichhas been used for many years in the engineering, has over 40 years in thedentistry and medicine, avoids this type of difficulties and makes it possibleto easily perform complex tasks in a computer environment, that are difficultto perform under normal conditions. FEA studies can be repeated in an unlimitednumber, either on the same terms or in different ways with minor changes. FEA,which can only be applied with industrial computers which were called as supercomputer in the past years, can be applied easily on the desktop computersthanks to the rapid technological developments in the computers in recentyears. This method can provide quick and easy solutions to many problems, especially in situations involving force, stress and material science similarto engineering, such as dental implantology. While this method provides fastand reliable results on the subjects investigated, it also guides andilluminates the possibility of carrying out many clinical studies. In thisreview study, it is aimed to obtain information about FEA method and to examinethe studies about usability and reliability in dental implantology.Key Words: Finite ElementAnalysis, FEM, Stress Analysis, Stress distribution, Dental implants</p>
