AMELOGENEZİS İMPERFEKTA: SINIFLAMA, TEŞHİS VE TEDAVİ (DERLEME)

Abstract

Amelogenezis imperfekta (Aİ), kalıtımsal geçiş gösteren, süt ve daimi dişlerdeki minenin yapısını, miktarını ve bileşimini etkileyen genetik bir mine gelişim anomalisidir. Bu hastalık fenotipik olarak; hipoplastik, hipokalsifiye, hipomatür ve hipomatür-hipoplastik ile beraber gözlenen taurodontizm olmak üzere dört ana tipte sınıflanabilmektedir. Amelogenezis İmperfekta’nın süt ve daimi dişlerde estetik görünüm, fonksiyon, okluzyon, fonasyon ve dişeti sağlığı üzerin- deki olumsuz etkileri, geleneksel diş tedavilerinden daha farklı yaklaşımları gündeme getirmektedir. Bu makalede Amelogenezis imperfekta vakalarında sınıflama, teşhis, ve tedavi kriterlerinin derlenmesi amaçlanmıştır.

Abstract

Amelogenesis imperfecta (AI) is a genetic abnormality of enamel development that shows hereditary transmission and affects the structure, amount and composition of the primary and permanent teeth enamel. Phenotypically this disease can be classified into four main types; hypoplastic, hipocalcified, hipomature and taurodontism observed with hipomature-hypoplastic. The negative effects of amelogenesis imperfecta on aesthetics, function, occlusion, phonation and gingival health of primary and permanent teeth produces a different approach than conventional dental treatment.
