Use of Telemedicine for Delivery of Health Services in The Elderly Tele medicine is a sub-branch of tele health. According to the World Health Organization, telemedicine is defined; The delivery of health care services, where distance is a critical factor, by all health care professionals using information and communication technologies for the exchange of valid information for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease and injuries, research and evaluation, and for the continuing education of health care providers, all in the interests of advancing the health of individuals and their communities. ÖZETTele-tıp, tele-sağlığın bir alt dalıdır. Dünya Sağlık Örgütü’ne göre tele-tıp; bireylerin ve toplumların sağlık düzeylerinin iyileştirilmesi, hastalıkların ve kazaların önlenmesi; sağlık personelinin sürekli eğitimi ile tüm sağlık profesyonelleri tarafından bilgi ve iletişim teknolojileri kullanılarak, uzaktan ve geçerli bilgi iletişim yöntemleri ile sağlık hizmetlerinin verilmesi şeklinde tanımlanmaktadır. Bu derlemenin amacı; sağlık hizmetlerinin sunumunda tele-tıp kullanımının birey, toplum, sağlık çalışanları ve sağlık sistemi açısından yararları; yaşlıda tele-tıp kullanım alanları ve örnekleri ile tele-tıp kavramı kapsamında tele-hemşirelik uygulamalarının incelenmesidir.Anahtar Sözcükler: Tele-tıp; tele-hemşirelik; yaşlı; kronik hastalık.
