Focus and Scope
Atatürk University Journal of Kazım Karabekir Education Faculty is a scientific refereed journal that publishes authentic research studies, corpus based/content analysis based studies, and translation studies about theory and practice in the fields of Educational Sciences and Teacher Training. The journal is biannual journal ( June- December). The publication languages are Turkish and English.
In the journal, the research and review papers carried out about the following topics are published: Educational Administration, Educational Inspection; History of Education and Policies; Psychological Counseling and Guidance; Early Childhood Education, Pre-school Education and Teacher Training; Special Education; Adult Education; Vocational and Technical Education, Public Education, Lifelong Learning, Law of Education, Education Economy, Philosophy of Education, Teaching Models-Methods- Processes, Research Methods in Education, Assessment and Testing Methods in Education; Educational Technologies; Programme Development and Evaluation in Education; Science Education; Secondary and Primary Mathematics Education and Teacher Training, Chemistry Education and Teacher Training, Biology Education and Teacher Training, Physics Education and Teacher Training, Fine Arts Education; Music Education and Teacher Training, Teacher Training in Arts and Crafts, Physical Education and Teacher Training; Primary Education, Social Sciences Education and Teacher Training; Turkish Language Teaching and Teacher Training; Turkish Language and Literature Teaching and Teacher Training, Philosophy Education and Teacher Training, Geography Education and Teacher Tarining, History Education and Teacher Tarining, Foreign Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics.
The target audience is academics, instructors, teachers, prospective teachers, students, administrators and practitioners in education.
Authors are responsible for the content of the articles published in the journal.
Publication Fee
Atatürk University Journal of Kazım Karabekir Education Faculty does not charge a fee neither for submission, nor peer review process, or publication. Atatürk University Journal of Kazım Karabekir Education Faculty is an academic journal that allows open Access.
Evaluation Process
Articles submitted to the journal are evaluated by two reviewers. In case of a necessity, the article is sent to a third reviewer for further evaluation. The articles can only be published on condition that both reviewers give publishable reports for the paper. In evaluation process, on the basis of blind review method, reviewers do not know whom the author/s is/are; in the same way, author(s) does/do not know reviewers, as well. Also, one reviewer does not know whom the other reviewer is.
Article submission
In order to submit your article to our journal, you firstly should Join In Dergipark. If you already have joined in, then you should Log In the journal website through your User Name and Password.
For evaluation of your article;
You should submit your paper as Microsoft Word Document.
The article should not have been published before and/or under peer review process.
The names authors should be definitely deleted from the draft that will be sent to the reviewers. Although the names of the authors are not seen in the document to be reviewed, information about institution etc. appears in the document; therefore, you should delete these information from “Document Properties”. To do this, follow up this process respectively. File>Info>View>(If asked, “Save”)> View> Review>SAVE
The proposals presented in any scientific meeting or conference can only be published on condition that the author/s should footnote the name of meeting/conference, date, and the place it was held.
The article to be submitted should have been written to the “ Rules of Atatürk University Journal of Kazım Karabekir Education Faculty”. The articles, which have not been organized to the rule, will not be sent to reviewers.
All processes of the article submitted to the journal are online followed through via the new system of Dergipark; the articles delivered by hadn or mailed are not accepted.
The articles submitted are firstly reviewed by the editor and deputy editors in terms of avaliability regarding topic, purpose, content and general publication and writing rules; articles, which are out of scope, are sent back to the author/s.
After accept of the paper by editor, it is sent to two reviewers, who are experts in the relevant field/s. Reviewers evaluate the papers to the Assessment Form of Journal of Atatürk University Kazım Karabekir Education Faculty and express their opnions about accept for publication, reject, or revision of the paper.
If two reviewers agree on publication, the article is queued for publication. If both reviewers reject, the article is not publiched. If one of the reviewer rejects and the other reviewer accepts the paper, then the article is sent to third reviewer and on the basis of his/her decision, the article is either accepted or rejected.
To the reports of the reviewers, the article could be published as is (accept); or, the article could be published after the revisions reported by reviewers are done (accept); or, the reviewers would like to see the revised version for final decision (revision); or, the article is decided not to be published (reject).
If author/s is/are asked for revisions, they should complete all revisions in one month. The artciles required for revisions, if the revisions are not done, will not be published.
The publication rights of the artciles accepted for publication in publication belong to Journal of Kazım Karabekir Education Faculty. The remarks pointed in the articles and all other scientific responsibilities are in the charge of author/authors; the journal can not be held responsible for them.

There are no payment of royalties to the authors for the articles accepted for publication.
PUBLICATION RULES
The article should not be less than 3000 words and not exceed 12000 words including title, Turkish abstract / English abstract, article text, summary in English, references, and appendix. Click here for Article Template .
Title (Turkish): It must be centered, written in a size of 14 pt. Times New Roman font, bold and uppercase letters. The title should not exceed 15 words.
Title (English): It must be centered, written in a size of 12 pt. Times New Roman font, bold and uppercase letters. The title should not exceed 15 words.
Abstract (Turkish): Each article must involve Turkish and English abstract at the beginning. If the article is written in Turkish, Turkish abstract should be placed before English abstract. However, if the article is written in English, English abstract should be placed before Turkish abstract. The label of Abstract should be written in a size of 12 pt. Times New Roman font, and flush left. Abstract must involve aim, research method, sample or study group, data collection tools, findings, and results. Abstract should be written in a size of 10 pt., justified alignment, single-spaced, and not exceeding 150-200 words. It should not involve any citations.
Keywords: The number of Turkish keywords should be between 3 and 6.
Abstract: You need to insert an English abstract into this section by taking into account exactly the same format: aim, research method, sample, data collection tools, findings and results. The abstract should be written in a size of 10 pt., Times New Roman font, single-spaced, and not exceeding 150-200 words
Keywords: The number of English keywords should be between 3 and 6.
Article Text
The text should be written, in a size of 12 pt. Times New Roman font, single-spaced and as a single column leaving margins of 3.5 cm at the right and top, and margins of 2.5 cm at the left and bottom of every page. Each paragraph should involve at least three sentences.
The paragraphs should begin with a 1.25 cm-indent, and there should be no space among paragraphs.
The article should involve following parts “Introduction, Methodology, Findings, Discussion, Conclusion and Suggestion, References” respectively. Review articles should involve parts and subparts in line with the content.

Headings
Turkish title of the article should be centered, written in a size of 14 pt. Times New Roman font and bold. English title of the article should be centered and written in a size of 14 pt. Times New Roman. The title should not exceed 15 words. English title should be placed under Turkish title.
First level of heading should be centered, written in a size of 12 pt., bold, and uppercase letters.

Two levels of heading should be flush left, written in a size of 12 pt., bold, and lowercase and uppercase letters.
e.g.:

Three levels of heading should be flush left, italicized, written in a size of 12 pt., and lowercase and uppercase letters.

Four levels of heading should be flush left, with a 1.25 cm-indent, italicized, written in a size of 12 pt. Times New Roman font and uppercase and lowercase letters.

Tables and Figures
Tables and figures should be ready for publication and given where they are cited in the text. Tables should be numbered consecutively such as “Table 1” and given titles. Table number should be writen above the table and the title should be flush left,.

Tables should not involve any vertical lines and should have just three horizontal lines. Table inside should be written in 10 pt and single-spaced. Similarly, figures should be numbered consecutively.
Titles, tables, figues, references and all other parts in submitted articles should be prepared according to APA 6th edition. If there is a table or figure from another source, it must cited. In addition, explanation for the tables and figures, if necessary, should be given below.
Figure captions should be below the figures and centered.
Figure 1. Experimental Design of the Study

Introduction: All text should be written in 12 pt, Times New Roman font and double-spaced. Introduction should involve research problem, studies in literature, rationale, significance, and purpose of the study, and research questions.

Method: This section should involve research method/design, population/sample/participants, data collection techniques and tools, data collection procedure, data analysis, and validity and reliability.
Findings: Findings of the study should be presented in tables or figures clearly and comprehensibly.
Discussions: Findings should be discussed in the light of the studies in literature.
Conclussion and Suggestions: The most important results arising from the study should be written. They can be itemized. Some suggestions based on the results of the study should be provided for further studies and practicians.
Reference List: References should be given according to APA 7th Edition.
