The forms of representation created by media are fundamental in affecting people and societies. Media builds a reality in the viewer's mind with its contents by using language and words. In this sense, this study aims to question how the street is represented in the media through internet news sites. Thus, what the street means conceptually is mentioned and also discussed street's concepts, security/ insecurity. According to the rating measurement company Alexa's data, the most followed news sites in Turkey are sözcü.com.tr, ensonhaber.com.tr, hurriyet.com.tr. The news about the street in the article was analyzed in the context of critical discourse analysis. The online archives were scanned with the keyword "street"; The news that empha sizes the idea that the street is dangerous and has a higher power to affect individuals was evaluated within the study's scope. As a result, it was seen in the news published on internet news sites that the street is positioned as unsafe, dangerous, even as a place of transition from one place to another, and as a place that should be abandoned. Some solutions were made in line with the results of the examinations.
