The Journal of Atmosphere and Climate (ATİK) publishes with the aim of following research and developments in the fields of Atmospheric Sciences, Meteorology, Climate and Hydrology, making scientific contributions to these fields and presenting a qualified resource.

The journal is published twice a year, in June and December, and the language of writing is Turkish. It is also open to articles in English from foreign scientists, and these articles can be published with an extended Turkish abstract. As per the adopted open access policy, all published studies can be accessed via the journal's website. In addition, research and review articles are included in the journal.

• Research Article: These are articles that reflect an original research with its findings and results. The study must definitely contribute to science.
• Review Article: These are articles that review a sufficient number of scientific articles, summarize the subject at the level of today's knowledge and technology, evaluate it, and compare and interpret the findings.

During the evaluation phase, double-blind peer review is applied, where the reviewers and authors do not see each other's names, and a maximum of 20% similarity rate is sought in the similarity scan conducted via intihal.net.

Scientific studies sent to the journal must not have been presented or published anywhere before. In addition, authors accept that they transfer the copyright of their articles to the publisher by sending their work to the journal.

To submit an article to the journal;

1) First, fill out the Copyright and Author Agreement document.

2) Download the Journal Template File and write your article in accordance with the instructions on this template and send it to the journal as a Microsoft Word file (doc or docx). Due to the double-blind peer review application, where reviewers and authors do not see each other's names, the article should not contain information such as the name, institution, e-mail and ORCID number of the authors, and the names and file properties of the article and attachments to be uploaded to the system at all stages should not include any information about the authors. Author information will only be added during the publication process after the article is accepted.

3) References must be created in APA style, and a source management program such as Zotero, Endnote or Mendeley can be used for this purpose.

Publication Ethics
The Journal of Atmosphere and Climate - ATİK is based on the principle of producing, developing, evaluating and sharing processes related to interdisciplinary studies, especially in the fields of engineering and basic sciences, in an unbiased manner using scientific methods.
It is aimed that all stakeholders, namely the author, editor, reviewer, publisher and reader, who present a scientific study, contribute to the progress of science by following the correct process. Within the scope of this goal, it is very important for the studies to comply with scientific ethical principles.
In this context, the publication ethics and open access policy of the Journal of Atmosphere and Climate are organized in line with the guidelines and policies published in COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) open access.
When deemed necessary within the scope of the feedback given to the editor and/or referees regarding the data used in the articles, the authors have the right to request output files regarding the analysis results. The use of data in a way that does not comply with ethical rules is the responsibility of the authors, and any deficiencies detected will be reported to the author's institution and the article will be rejected.

Authors' Ethical Responsibilities
To ensure that the data associated with the study is accurate, to keep records of the research in order and to provide access to these data upon request.
To ensure that the submitted article has not been published or accepted elsewhere.

To ensure that all studies involving human or animal subjects comply with national and international laws and guidelines (e.g., WMA Declaration of Helsinki, NIH Policy on the Use of Laboratory Animals, EU Directive on the Use of Animals), to confirm that the necessary approvals have been obtained, and to respect subject privacy. To indicate the relevant ethics committee approvals and research details regarding the study in the "Materials and Methods" section of the study.
In case of any conflict of interest, to share with the editor and publisher when an ethical violation is detected regarding the article, to publish an error statement, addendum, compensation notice or to withdraw the study when deemed necessary.
The names of people who did not contribute to the article should not be written as authors, and it should not be suggested to change the author order, remove authors or add authors to an article submitted for publication.
To accept the responsibility of informing the journal secretariat about the deficiencies in the article within 5 days at the latest if the article is accepted and to inform the journal secretariat so that the corrections after this process are included on the “Corrections Regarding Previous Issues” page on the journal page.

To evaluate the studies submitted to the journal according to their content and not to show any privilege to any author.
To take the necessary precautions to prevent possible conflicts of interest and to evaluate existing declarations, if any.
