The complex and multi-stakeholder nature of construction projects requires teams from different disciplines to work towards common goals. However, with the involvement of stakeholders with different perspectives within this multi-stakeholder structure, conflicts become inevitable. These conflicts can arise at various stages in project management processes and can negatively affect workflow, time, cost and quality. Especially in construction projects, failure to resolve conflicts can jeopardize the success of the project and even lead to its complete stoppage. Therefore, identifying and effectively managing conflicts at an early stage is critical for construction projects. To complete construction projects within the planned budget, quality and time, conflicts must be managed effectively. For effective conflict management, it is important to know the factors that cause conflict. For these reasons, this study aims to determine the factors that cause conflict in the Turkish construction industry. In this context, 59 criteria were identified as a result of the systematic literature review conducted to determine the factors causing conflict in the Turkish construction sector and a questionnaire form was created. The questionnaire was delivered to architects, civil engineers, and contractors working in public and private institutions and data were collected from 395 participants and the collected data were analyzed with quantitative methods. As a result of the study, the factors causing conflict in the Turkish construction sector were identified, and prioritized and solutions for conflict management were presented.
İnşaat projelerinin karmaşık ve çok paydaşlı yapısı, farklı disiplinlerden gelen ekiplerin ortak hedefler doğrultusunda çalışmasını gerektirir. Ancak, bu çok paydaşlı yapı içerisinde farklı bakış açılarına sahip paydaşların katılımıyla çatışmalar kaçınılmaz hale gelir. Bu çatışmalar, proje yönetimi süreçlerinde çeşitli aşamalarda ortaya çıkabilir ve iş akışını, zamanı, maliyeti ve kaliteyi olumsuz yönde etkileyebilir. Özellikle inşaat projelerinde çatışmaların çözülmemesi, projenin başarısını tehlikeye atabilir ve hatta projenin tamamen durmasına yol açabilir. Bu nedenle, çatışmaların erken aşamalarda tespit edilmesi ve etkin bir şekilde yönetilmesi inşaat projeleri için kritik öneme sahiptir. İnşaat projelerinin planlanan bütçe, kalite ve zaman içerisinde başarılı bir şekilde tamamlanabilmesi için çatışmaların etkin yönetilebilmesi gerekmektedir. Etkin bir çatışma yönetimi için ise çatışmaya neden olan faktörlerin bilinmesi önem arz etmektedir. Bu nedenlerle bu çalışmanın amacı, Türk inşaat sektöründe çatışmaya neden olan faktörlerin belirlenmesidir. Bu bağlamda Türk inşaat sektöründe çatışmaya neden olan faktörlerin belirlenmesi için yapılan sistematik literatür taraması sonucunda 59 kriter tespit edilmiş ve anket formu oluşturulmuştur. Hazırlanan anket kamu ve özel kurumlarda görev alan mimarlara, inşaat mühendislerine ve müteahhitlere ulaştırılmış ve 395 katılımcıdan veri toplanmış ve toplanan veriler nicel yöntemlerle analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda Türk inşaat sektöründe çatışmaya neden olan faktörler belirlenmiş, öncelik sıralaması yapılmış ve çatışma yönetimine yönelik çözüm önerileri sunulmuştur.
