The results of postoperative lung complications in 5476 patients examined in this study can be summarized as follows. 1. Complications developed in 4% of the patients who underwent surgery.2 — The first three places in lung complications after surgery are; Bronchitis (64.5), Pneumonia (18.5) and Atelectasis (9.7). 3 — More complications were seen in infants and the elderly.4 — According to the type of surgery: complications are significantly more in upper abdominal surgeries than in lower abdominal surgeries and other surgeries. 5 — More complications have been detected in men than in women.
