İn this stüdy the hair levels of 115 healthy subjects, 50 giriş and 65 boys, between. the age groups 0 - 15 years have been determined by using atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The hair zinc levels obtained generally agree with those reported in the literature. The hair zinc levels of the subjects have been studied as a fuction of age, sex, and colour of hair. It was found that the levels of hair zinc increased as a function of age, and no statistically significant differences with respect to sex and colour of hair were observed.In a 17 malnutritioned group of 11 girls and 6 boys between the ages O - 3 years, it was found that the hair zinc levels were significantly higher than a 17 subjects healthy group of the same age range. In a malnutritioned group of 7 subjects it was found that there was no correlation between hair zinc and serum zinc levels.

Çalışmada 0 - 15 yaş grubu arasında 50 kız, 65 erkek olan 115 sağlıklı bireyin saç çinko düzeyleri atomik absorbsiyon spektrofotometresi ile ölçüldü. Genel olarak bizim elde ettiğimiz saç çinko düzeyleri literatürde verilen saç çinko düzeylerine uymaktadır. Çinko dizeyleri incelendi. Bireylerin yaşına bağlı olarak saç çinko düzeyinin -arttığı saç rengi ve cinsiyete göre ise önemli farklılıklar olmadığı istatistik olarak bulundu.0 - 3 yaşları arasında malnütrisyonlu 11'i kız, 6'sı erkek olan 17 kişilik grubun saç çinkosunun aynı yaştaki 17 kişilik sağlıkİr bir gruba oranla daha yüksek olduğu istâtistik olarak saptandı. Diğer yandan 7 kişilik malnütrisyonlu bir grubda saç ile serum çinko düzeyleri arasında korrelasyon olmadığı görüldü.
