<p>Diaphragmatic hernias are the passage of the abdominal organs into the chest cavity through a weak point in the diaphragm. The first scientific diagnosis of the disease was published by AMBROISE PARE in 1580, JEAN L. PETIT (1674 - 1750) reported various hernias belonging to the diaphragm and congenital and mentioned the protective role of the liver in this regard due to the rarity of hernia cases on the right side. In 1769, MORGAGNIE wrote a monograph of various diaphragmatic hernias, which are natural spaces of the diaphragm, and described their types. In 1853, GUTRIE mentioned diaphragmatic injuries and BOWDITCH reported that there were 27 publications on diaphragmatic hernias until that date. In 1896, STEPHAN PAGET reported that surgical intervention should be done through the pleural route with literature information on diaphragmatic hernias. Very few cases were published in American literature until 1901, when INGALS noted the main symptoms of the disease as dyspnea, pain after meals, and vomiting in his article titled Diagnosis of Diaphragmatic Hernias, and drew attention to these symptoms. One of the interesting complication of the Bochdalleck hernia Transvers colon perforation into the thoracic cavity through yhe Bochdalec hernias is rather a rare complication. İn our paper wo present one of these rare cases. The contens of the howils hava been cumulated in the left thoracic cavity within 25 days. The Interesting part of this case is that an empiema hasn&#039;t been occurred and the patient has rocovered within a very short period of time.</p></trans-abstract>
