Bradycardia was observed in 75% of the turtles exposed to high pressure. Arrhythmia occurred in 25 10/0 of these, especially within the second hour. In the other 25 cases, on the contrary, there was an increase in heart size. The results were compared with those obtained in warm-blooded animals and discussed under the literature.

Yüksek basınca maruz bırakılan kaplumbağaların %75'inde bradikardi gözlendi. Bunların 25'inde, özellikle ikinci saat içinde, aritmi meydana geldi. Diğer 25 vakada ise, tam tersine, kalp büyüklüğünde artış vardı. Sonuçlar sıcakkanlı hayvanlarda elde edilenlerle karşılaştırıldı ve literatür ışığında tartışıldı.
