Bu çalışmada, Ankara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Gastroen-'teroloji Kliniğine yatırılarak tetkik, tedavi ve takip edilen 93, kolitis ülseroza vak'asının seyir ve prognozu, retrospektif o vebüyük ölçüde prospektif olarak incelendi, |Şiddetli klinik tablo gösterenler, tüm kolonu tutan anatomiklokalizasyonu bulunanlar ve 30 yaşın altında 50 yaşın üze-.rindeki kolitis ülseroze'lilar, özellikle bu kriterden herhangiikisini bir arada bulunduruyorsa «kötü riskli» gurup içinde kabuledilmişlerdir. i |«Kötü riskli» gurup içinde bulunan 11 vak'a (2 118), Klimiğeilk alındıkları dönemde. ölmüştür. «Kötü riskli; guruptakivak'aların takibinde, prognozun kötü yönde etkilendiği anlaşılmıştır.Bu vak'alarda tıbbi tedavi ile fazla zaman kaybedilmedenve özellikle kolona ait ciddi komplikasyonlar oluşma-“dan, elektif anlamda cerrahi girişimde bulunulmalıdır. «İyiriskli» vak'a gurubu içinde yulunanlarda, tıbbi tedavi ile ye

The Clinical Course and Prognosis of Vicerative Colitis In #his paper we present the çlinical course and the prog-. nosis of 93 patients with ulcerative colitiş which vere investigated retrospectively and to grealer extent prospectively. AN cases vere diagnosed, ireafted and followed up both as in- paftient and out-patieni in the Gastroenterology Department Of Ankara University Medical Sehool. Our studies have enabled us to classify our patients into ihres «bad risk» groups, namely - those with fulminant olini- cel course, those with total colonic involvemenit, those younger than 30 years and older than 50 years ol age, cases presenting more than one of tiese criteria faced definitely graver prognosis,Eleven patients (118 72) who were placed into the «bad risk» group died during the eariy hospitalisation period. «Bad risk» cases treated medicaliy presented a grim outlook. Therefore, these patients should be subjected to elective surgery without any delay of time with medical treatment and esp8- cially before the onset of the serious local complications. The vast majority of the patients with ulceretive colitis who make up the «good risk» group responded very well to modern methods of conservative management and the cure have been attained in son16 CASES.
