                            <p>Temmuz 1970-1972 yılları arasında, kliniğimize müracaat eden manifest infeksiyöz hepatitli 191 hasta ve bunların aile çevresine ait 713 kişinin, Reitman - Frankel modifiye spektrofotometrik metoduyla, serum transaminaz aktiviteleri incelendi. 50 U/ml.&#039;nin üstündeki aktiviteler yüksek değerler olarak ayrıldı. Tek veya müteaddit kontrollerimizde 272 kişide, transaminaz aktivitelerini yükselmiş olarak saptadık ve bu kişilerin, anikterik formda infeksiyöz hepatit geçirmekte olabileceklerini düşündük. İkterli ve iktersiz vak&#039;aların yaş, cins, meslek dağılımlarını inceledik ve mevsimlerle olan ilgisini araştırdık. Sosyo - ekonomik faktörlerin ve yetersiz hijyen koşullarının etkisi üzerinde durarak; semptomları ve fizik bulguları inceledik.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>Between July 1970 and 1972, the serum transaminase activities of 191 patients with manifest infectious hepatitis who presented to our clinic and 713 of their family contacts were examined using the modified Reitman-Frankel spectrophotometric method. Activities above 50 U/ml were classified as high values. In our single or multiple follow-ups, we detected elevated transaminase activities in 272 individuals and considered that these individuals might have anicteric infectious hepatitis. We examined the age, sex, and occupation distributions of icteric and anicteric cases and investigated their relation to the seasons. Focusing on the effects of socio-economic factors and inadequate hygiene conditions, we also examined the symptoms and physical findings.</p></abstract>
