In this study, we present the results of rectosigmoidoscopy examinations performed on patients at the 1st Surgical Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine of Ankara University between September 1968 and March 1972. The clinics to which the patients were sent, age, gender, country of origin, profession, indications for rectosigmoidoscopy examination, the depth of insertion of the instrument, and the examination results are presented in seven tables. The study is interesting because it reflects results based on patient material from a surgical clinic for the first time in our country.In our series, no pathology was found in 20.08% of the cases, and pathology was detected in the remaining 80%. This finding is very different from the results of series published in our country and abroad. 3. Diseases of the anorectal region that may eventually require surgery, such as hemorrhoids, anal fissures, rectal cancer, polyps, and fistulas, are listed in approximately 20 series. 4. On this occasion, the importance of rectal cancer and polyploidy, which are quite common to diagnose during endoscopy, is emphasized.

I Bu çalışmamda Eylül 1968 - Mart 1972 tarihleri arasın da A. Ü. Tıp Fakültesi 1. Cerrahi Kliniği materyelinde yapılan rektosigmoidoskopik muayene sonuçlarım takdim ettik. Materye lin gönderildiği klinikler, yaş, cins, memleket, meslek, rektosigmoidoskopik muayene endikasyonları ve aletin ithal edilme derinliği ve muayene sonuçlarl 7 tablo halinde sunuldu. Çalışma memleketimizde ilk kez bir cerrahi klinik materyeline dayanan sonuçları yansıtması yönünden ilginçtir.2Serimizde vak'aların % 20.08'inde hiç patoloji bulunmamış geri kalan % 80 vak'ada patoloji tesbit edilmiştir. Bu bulgu memleketimizde yayınlanan serilerin ve dış serilerin sonuçlarından çok farklı bir sonuçtur.3Ano rektal bölgenin cerrahi veya ergeç cerrahi olabi lecek hastallklarl hemoroid, anal fissül, rektum Ca, polip ve fistül gibi ana problemler cližer serilerden aşağı yukarı 20 gibi4— Bu vesileyle endoskopide teshisine oldukça Slk rastlanllan rektum Ca ve polipleidinin önemine değinilmiştir.
