Noise is the unarmonic sounds produced by the disorderly aır vibrations. Noise has various harmful effects on the hearing capacity, physical ability, pysiological and psycological funktions of the body. We did measured noise levels of the different places in Ankara and found that the average level of noise over 70 db. The majority of the noise creates from heavy traffic, pedlars and the machins of the small industry. The maine control measures for the noise in Ankara can be summarized as fallows: Public educations, to inforce specific laws, to improve the building construction related with sound proofness and to remove the noise industry out of the city.

Gürültü havada periodik olmayan vibrasyonların meydana getirdiği düzensiz seslerdir. Gürültünün işitme kabiliyetine, çalışma gücüne ve vücut üzerine zararlı tesirleri vardır. Ankarada muhtelif bölgelerde yaptığımız 260 adet tecrübe ile şehir gürültüsünün ekseriyetle 70 db. nin üzerine çıktığı ve bunun mühim bir kısmının trafik ve satıcıların ve bir kısmının da iskân bölgeleri içindeki küçük endüstriye ait makinalardan geldiğini gördük. Halkın educationu, çeşitli inzibat tedbirleri, binalarda sesi geçirmeyen tertibatın yapılması ve endüstri müesseselerinin şehir dışına çıkarılması bu hususta alınacak belli başlı tedbirlerdir.
