The following information was obtained from a survey conducted to compare the socioeconomic status of students accepted to Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in the 1971-1972 academic year and their success rates on the high school graduation and university entrance exams.1. Of the 275 students admitted during this period, 260 (44 97.8%) responded to the survey questions. Of these, 202 (75%) were male and 67 (96 25%) were female.2. The mean age was 18.5 for males and 17.6 for females; the median age was 18 for males and 17 for females.

Ankara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'ne 1971-1972 ders yılında kabul edilen öğrencilerin sosyo-ekonomik durumları ile lise bitirme veüniversiteye giriş sınavlarındaki başarı derecelerini karşılaştırmakamacı ile tertiplenen anketten elde edilen bilgiler aşağıdadır.1. Bu dönemde mevcut 275 öğrenciden 260 u (44 97.8) anket sorularına cevap vermiştir. Bunlardan 202 si (Çe 75) erkek ve 67 si(96 25) kız öğrencidir.2. Yaş ortalaması erkeklerde 18.5, kızlarda 17.6; yaş ortancası(Median) erkeklerde 18 ve kızlarda 17 olarak bulunmuştur.
