Cryosurgery in gynecology is safe and effective. It is anesthetic and hemostatic. It is simple to use, inexpensive and produccs few complications. All gynecologists would find it a most useful adjunct to the other technics.In our department we used liquid ethyl chloride which is not been used recently, for local freezing and cryotherapy in benign disease of the cervix in 15 cases, and it's clinical application, advantages and complications have been presented. In addition, history of cryosurgery have been studied and available cryogenic equipment, refrigerants, physiology of freezing, ice - ball characteristics, macroscopic and microscopic healing after cryosurgery have been discussed and literature reviewed.

Jinekolojide soğutma tedavisi, (Cryosurgery, Cryotherapy), emniyetlidir, ve tesirlidir. Ayni zamanda anestetik ve kanamayı durduru cudur. Kullanılması basittir, pahalı değildir, ve az komplikasyon husule getirir. Bütün jinekologlar, bunun diğer tekniklere çok faydalı bir yardımcı olduğunu kabul ederler.Kliniğimizde, 15 serviks erosionu vakasında, litaratürde yakın zamanlarda kullanılmamış olan Ethyl Chloride ile yapılan serviksin lokal soğutulması ve dondurulması tedavisinin tekniği, üstünlükleri. ve komplikasyonları takdim edildi. Ayrıca soğutma tedavisinin tarihçesi incelenerek, kullanılan âletler, dondurucu maddeler, donmamn fizyolojisi, buz topunun özellikleri, soğutma tedavisinden sonra makroskopik ve mikroskopik iyileşme tartışıldı ve literatür gözden geçirildi.
