                            <p>This paper deals with the description of a simple column chromatographic method for the determination of plasma ammonia .Ammonia eluted from cationic ion exchanger is determined by an indophenol blue colour reaction. Precision and reliability of the method calculated as coefficient of variation (%9,7) and recovery (%98 ± 1). The range of normal concentration of plasma ammonia nitrogen by this method was from 25-81 mcg per 100 ml. (18 - 58 mcEq per litre).</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>Bu makalede katyon değiştirici basit bir kolon kullanılarak kan plazmasında amonyak tayin metodu incelenmiştir. Ayrıca amonyak Berthelot reaksiyonu yardımıyla fotometrik yolla tayin edilmiştir. Metodun doğruluk ve hassasiyetinin kontrolu arastırılmış varyazyon katsayısı %9,7 ve geri alma sonuçları ortalaması ise %98±1 bulunmuştur. Ayrıca 20 kişilik klinik bakımdan hastalık şüphesi olmayan normaller gurubunda da kan amonyak seviyesi tayin edilmiş 100 ml, Plazmada mikrogram amonyum azotu olarak ortalama 53, standart sapma 14 bulunmuş ve normal sınırlar (ortalama ±2 S.D.) 25-81 saptanmıştır (Normal sınırların litrede mikroekivalangram olarak ifadesi ise 18 - 58 dir).</p></abstract>
