Two cases of idiopathic myocardial dieases ibelieved to be due to viral infection are reproted and the role o viruses in the producon of heart diease in man reviewed.One patient had a mild cardiomegaly and advanced degree A - V heart block, another had myopericarditis and pneumonitis, Viral (coxsakie) heart disease shuold be considered in idiopathic myocarditis, with or without pericarditis, unexplaned «reumatic» velve lesions, desorders of rhythm and conducliru, and in cardiomyopathy obscure origin.

Viral enfeksiyonlardan mütevellit olduğu kabul edilen iki idiopatik myokard hastalığı vakası bildirilmiş ve insanda kalp hastalığı husulunde virusların rolü gözden geçirilmiştir.Hastaların birinde orta derecede Kardiomegali ve ileri derecede (tam) A-V kalpbloku, diğerinde myoperikarditis ve pnömonitis mevcuttu. Perikarditis ile birlikte veya perikarditiş bulunmayanidyopatik myokarditis vakalarında, izahı yapılmayan «rumatizmal» kapak lezyonlarında ritm ve kondüksüyon bozukluklarında ve orijini bilinmeyen kardiyomyopatilerde viral (coxsakie) kalp hastalığı düşünülmelidir.
