Мақалада Хиуа ханы Әбілғазының «Түркі шежіресі» атты шығармасының тілін тарихи және лингвистикалық тұрғыда зерделеу нәтижесінде оның көне қыпшақ тілінде жазылғаны туралы тың пікір айтылады. Қазақ тілі көне қыпшақ тілінің заңды жалғасы (мұрагері) саналғандықтан «Шежіре» қазақтың ескі жазба әдеби тілінің XVII ғасырдағы ескірткіші ретінде қаралуға тиіс екендігі жайында өз тұжырымын алға тартады.
The results of the comprehensive research of the language of the work "Shezhire-i Turki" by Abylgazy and historical sources of that time give the grounds to the author of the article to draw the conclusion that it was written in the ancient Kipchak literary language. According to turcologists assertion, the old Kazakh literary language is the heir-at-law of the ancient Kipchak language. It is possible to consider the language of this work by Abylgazy as the written form of the old Kazakh language of the XVII century.
