Baçini Art Journal (Baçini – which belongs to Bayburt University Art and Design Faculty-) has adopted as a principle of publishing original and innovative scientific articles in the fields of art and culture, and aims researchers to share and discuss in national and international literature in the stated fields.

Baçini (Bacini) Art Journal accepts the manuscripts in the fields of art and design such as painting, graphic arts, visual communication, contemporary arts, textile and fashion design, art history, music, architecture and building design, and interdiciplinary art research in the languages of Turkish and English.
Turkish and English publications will have been in the journal. The manuscript to be published in the journal must not have been published elsewhere before, and getting the approval of all authors in the work belongs to the responsible author entirely.

GENERAL RULES


1. Articles will be sent to the relevant e-mail address as MS word files by the responsible author.
2. When it comes to the research article which is written in English, it should consist of title, abstract, keywords, introduction, materials and methods, conclusions, acknowledgement (if there is) and references headings.
3. When it comes to the complication article which is written in English, it should consist of title, abstact, keywords, introduction, conlusions and references headings. It can be added second degree and third degree subheadlines to the introduction and conclusions headings.
4. The templates designed according to the spelling rules of our journal can be accessed below.

5. Copyright Transfer Form for all manuscripts must be filled in by all authors of the work and must be uploaded with it. The publications of authors who do not send Copyright Transfer Form will not be evaluated.
6. Subsequent additions cannot be made by the authors on the manuscripts which have been decided to be published.

TEXT


The pages should be adjusted in A4 size with 2.5 cm margins from all sides. The article must have at least 5 and at most 25 pages from the first page to the last page (including references). Editorial board has the right to increase the number of pages when it is needed. The article should be written in Times New Roman font, 12 point size, justified 1,5 line spacing.

ABSTRACT


It should be written in Turkish and English, not exceeding 200 words. The title of the work should be written in capital letters at the beginning of the English abstract.

KEYWORDS


At least 3 at most 6 keywords should be given in Turkish and in English studies.


TITLES


The titles should be written in bold and all capital letters (except for ‘’references’’ and ‘’acknowledgement’’). As for second degree and third degree subheadlines, they should be written in bold and only the first letter of the first word should be capitalized. All headings should be numbered according to the heading level.


FIGURES


Figures should be numbered sequentially throughout the work regardless of the title level. Figure number and figure name should be placed under the figure and they should be bolded and centered. Representations such as photograps, drawings and graphics other than the table should be given as figure. The dimensions of the figures should be placed in such a way that they do not exceed the page size.


TABLES


Table number and table name should be given above the table and centered.

REFERENCES


For bibliography, APA 7 standards will be applied.

PUBLICATION ETHICS
Baçini (Bayburt University Art and Design Faculty Baçini Art Journal) will prioritize compliance with ethical rules in arts and interdisciplinary works. In this context, the main criterion to be considered in the publication of manuscripts in our journal will be the International Standards created by COPE (Committe on Publication Ethics).
In works that require Ethics Committe permission, permissions should be obtained and information about the permission should be included in the article. In this respect, Ethics Committe approval is required for articles that meet the conditions stated below.
• Researches conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from the participants by using survey, interview, group work, observation, experiment and interview techniques
• Obtaining and specifying permission from the owners for the use of scales, surveys, photpgraphs which belong to others
• Specifing copyright regulations are suited for literary / intellectual and artistic works


Editors’ Duties and Responsibilities
While chief editor and field editors fulfill their duties, the authors are not differentiated by gender, religion, race or ethnicity.
Editors can decide to accept or reject the article by evaluating the importance of the article, its originality and its suitability for the journal, while the article is in the review stage, before proceeding to the publication stage.
Editors do not give privileges to any authors, including sponsored or special subject works, and evaluate the submitted manuscripts according to their content.
Editors send the works to the journal referees, taking into account the conflicts of interest. Referees are assigned as referees, taking into account their areas of expertise.
Editors prevent evaluations of non-scientific works that violate ethics and academic etiquette.
Editors make the necessary work to expand and update the referee pool.

Ethical Duties and Responsibilities of Referees
Referees play an active role in the decision making process of editors.
When making evalatuions, referees consider the content of the work and its contribution to science.
Adhering to the principle of impartiality, they do not descriminate based on religion, language, race, gender and ethnicity.
They comment in a constructive and courteous language in order to improve the quality of the evaluated work.
They evaluate the works by adhering to the principle of confidentiality. At the end of the evaluation process they destroy the informations about the work without keeping any copy of it.
They inform the editor when they get any information about the authors or in case of anomalous times of blind referees.
They evaluate the work within the time given to them.


Ethical Duties and Responsibilities of Authors
Authors prepare their works in an original and fluent language and send them through the determined system.
Authors must specify all the people who contributed to the work as authors, and all responsibility in this regard belongs to the authors. Likewise, the names of the people who did not contribute to the work should not be included in the article, and adding or removing authors should not be suggested.
The authors acknowledge that the content presented in the work is not in the evaluating process or has not been published elsewhere.
Editors or referees can request raw data about the publication. Hence, authors should keep the data of the article ready.
Authors are obliged to indicate situations that may conflict of interest in their articles.


Plagiarism Policy
The manuscripts sent to our journal will be scanned for similiarity (plagiarism) with the “iThenticate:PlagiarismDetection Software” program during the preliminary review stage.

No fee is demanded from the authors in any process of the articles sent to our journal and they are published with no fee.

Baçini Art Journal is an open access journal.

Article Evaluation Process

Time Allowed for The Author To Make Corrections : 60 days
Extra Time Given to The Referee for Article Evalution : 30 days
Referee Evalution Time for Article : 30 days
Extra Time Given for Referee Invitataion : 30 days
Validity Time of The Referee Invitation : 30 days

The periods specified here are the maximum periods and the completion of the evalution process in a short time is among the priority principles of journal management.
