Peer Review Process

Submissions are first reviewed by the journal editors. At this stage, the editors check whether the manuscript fits the journal’s scope, publication principles, and formatting guidelines, and whether it is suitable for peer review. Manuscripts that do not pass this initial screening are rejected.

For manuscripts that pass the initial review, the editors may request revisions related to format and/or content. Once the authors complete the requested revisions, the manuscript is sent for peer review.

All submissions, except Book Reviews, are subject to peer review. Manuscripts are reviewed by two referees who are experts in the relevant field. If the referee reports conflict, a third referee is consulted.

At least two positive referee reports are required for a manuscript to be accepted for publication. If two referees consider the manuscript unsuitable for publication, it is rejected.

Manuscripts for which minor revisions are requested are reviewed by the article editor after the authors have made the revisions.

If major revisions are requested, the revised manuscript is sent back to the relevant referee for further evaluation.

While at least two positive referee reports are required for publication, they are not binding. The final decision on publication is made by the Journal Editorial Board.

Manuscripts accepted for publication are scheduled for publication after final checks and typesetting are completed.
