                                                                                                <abstract><p>Bu araştırma, M9 anacı üzerine aşılı Gala, Granny Smith ve Red Chief elma çeşitlerinin (Malus domestica Borkh.) Ordu ekolojik koşullarında verim ve kalite özelliklerini belirlemek amacı ile 2014 yılında yürütülmüştür. Çalışma kapsamında ağaç başına ortalama verim ve meyvelerde; kabuk rengi, ağırlık, en, boy ve sertlik gibi bazı fizikomekanik özelliklere ilave olarak suda çözünebilir kuru madde, pH, titre edilebilir asitlik ve nişasta parçalanması gibi kimyasal özellikler de incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; en yüksek verim Gala (13.29 kg/ağaç), en düşük ise Red Chief (10.13 kg/ağaç) elma çeşidinden, en yüksek ortalama meyve ağırlığı Granny Smith (207.1 g), en düşük meyve ağırlığı ise Red Chief (136.2 g) elma çeşidinden tespit edilmiştir. En yüksek ve en düşük meyve eti sertliği ise sırasıyla Red Chief (82.83 N) ve Gala çeşidinden (63.43 N) elde edilmiştir. Gala, Granny Smith ve Red Chief çeşitlerinde SÇKM ve pH değerleri ise sırasıyla %11.253.81, %9.13-3.23 ve %10.80-3.82 olarak bulunmuştur. İncelenen çeşitlerin toplam fenol içerikleri Gala çeşidi için 65.30, Granny Smith için 36.10 ve Red Chief için ise 32.30 mg GAE kg⁻¹ bulunurken, toplam antioksidan kapasitesi ABTS ve DPPH testlerine göre Gala, Granny Smith ve Red Chief çeşitlerinde sırasıyla 2852.5-3090.9, 2108.8-2587.0, 1971.3-2577.1 µmol TE kg⁻¹ olarak tespit edilmiştir.</p></abstract>

                            <p>The present study was conducted in 2014 under ecological conditions of Ordu Province to determine yield and quality characteristic of Mondial Gala, Granny Smith and Red Chief apple cultivars (Malus domestica Borkh.) grafted on M9 rootstock. Within the scope of the study, average yield per tree, fruit peel color parameters, fruit weight, width, length, flesh firmness, water soluble dry matter content, pH, titratable acidity and starch degradation were investigated. The highest yield was obtained from Mondial Gala (13.29 kg/tree) and the lowest yield was obtained from Red Chief (10.13 kg/tree) apple cultivar. The highest and the lowest fruit weights were respectively obtained from Granny Smith (207.1 g) and Red Chief (136.2 g) cultivars. The greatest and the least flesh firmness values were respectively obtained from Red Chief (82.83 N) and Mondial Gala (63.43 N) cultivars. Water soluble dry matter contents and pH values of Mondial Gala, Granny Smith and Red Chief cultivars were respectively observed as 11.25-3.81%, 9.13-3.23% and 10.80-3.82%.
