Grid-tied inverters play an essential role in the power systems that are widely used to benefit from these energy systems. A filter is used between the inverter and the grid to suppress the harmonics of the current generated from the inverters. Various feedback strategies have been reported to regulate the dynamics of grid-connected systems. In this study, different control strategies are investigated to analyze the performance of the grid -connected inverter equipped with an LCL filter. The traditional proportional-integral-derivate (PID) controller, siding mode control (SMC), and model predictive control (MPC) is considered to perform the comparison work. The simulation works are conducted using MATLAB, and simulation works verify theoretical concepts.
