FARKLILIK KAVRAMINA VE FARKLILIKLARIN YÖNETİMİNE TEMEL OLUŞTURAN SOSYOPSİKOLOJİK KURAMLAR VE YAKLAŞIMLAR

Abstract

Araştırmanın Temelleri: İnsanları bireyler ve gruplar olarak birbirlerinden diğerlerinden ayıran ve farklılaştıran çeşitli özellikler bulunmaktadır. Çalışma yaşamında bu özelliklerin hepsi, farklılıklar veya işgücü farklılıkları başlığı altında incelenmektedir. Bu çalışmada öncelikle farklılık kavramı tanımlanmakta ve işgücü farklılıklarının yönetimi irdelenmektedir. Daha sonra farklılık kavramına ve farklılıkların yönetimi anlayışına temel oluşturan sosyo-psikolojik kuramlar ve yaklaşımlar hakkında bilgi verilmektedir. Araştırmanın Amacı: Bu çalışmada, farklılık kavramını ve farklılıklarının yönetimi anlayışını tanıtmak ve farklılık kavramına temel oluşturan sosyo-psikolojik kuramlar hakkında bilgi vermek amaçlanmaktadır. Veri Kaynakları: Konu ile ilgili farklı disiplinlere özgü literatür taraması. Ana Tartışma ve Sonuçlar: Farklılıkların yönetimi, hem bilimsel bir çalışma konusu, hem de bir işletmecilik uygulaması olarak oldukça yeni bir anlayıştır. Konunun meşruluk kazanması için, farklı disiplinlerin bu alana ilgisine ve çeşitli kuramlar ve yaklaşımlarla konunun sağlam temellere oturtulmasına ihtiyaç vardır

The Socio-Psychological Theories and Approaches that forms the Base of Diversity and Diversity Management

Abstract

Bases of the study: There are some characteristics that seperates individuals from each other and makes every single individual different. In the business life these characteristics are investigated under the heading of diversity or workforce diversity. Current study firstly gives the definition of term ‘diversity’ and mentions diversity management, and in the following parts gives information about the socio-psychological theories and approaches that forms the base of diversity management. Purpose of the study: In this study, it is aimed to present the concept of diversity and diversity management and give information about the socio-psychological theories and approaches that forms the base of diversity and diversity management Data Sources: Literature on the topics of diversity and socio-psychological theories. Main Discussion and Conclusion: Diversity management is a new approach either as an academic subject or a business case. Different disciplines’ concern and advocation of different theories and approaches related to the topic are needed in order to gain legitimacy
