Serbest Zaman Nostaljisinin Mutluluk Üzerindeki Etkisinde Demografik Değişkenlerin Düzenleyici Rolü

Abstract

Amaç: Mutluluğun kısa vadeli olduğu düşünüldüğünde bireylerin serbest zaman deneyimleri de o anın içerisinde o zaman aralığında kalır. Birey kendine özgü olarak yaşadığı o an içerisinde mutlu ya da mutsuz olur. Bu noktada serbest zaman deneyimleri bireye özgüdür ve bu nedenle yaşanacak mutluluk düzeyi de değişkenlik gösterecektir. Araştırmada bireylerin geçmişe dönük yaşadıkları serbest zaman deneyimlerinin mutluluk üzerindeki etkisinde cinsiyet, nostaljik hatıraları paylaşım şekli ve nostaljik hatıraların hatırlanma süresi değişkenlerinin düzenleyici rolü olup olmadığı incelenmiştir. Materyal & Metot: Bu doğrultuda araştırmaya yaşları 19 ile 65 arasında değişen, 659 kadın ve 590 erkek olmak üzere toplam 1249 serbest zaman katılımcısı katılmıştır. Araştırmada katılımcılara kişisel bilgi formu, Serbest Zaman Nostalji Ölçeği ve Oxford Mutluluk Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Bulgular: Yapılan analizler neticesinde serbest zaman nostaljisi ile mutluluk arasında nedensel ilişkinin olduğu ve p değerinin istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olduğu bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır. Sonuç: araştırmanın odak noktası olan demografik değişkenlerin düzenleyici rolüne ilişkin sonuçlarda da “serbest zaman nostaljisinin mutluluk üzerindeki etkisinde bütün demografik değişkenlerin düzenleyici rolü olduğu ve bu düzenleyici rolde erkek katılımcıların, arkadaş ile paylaşımın ve yakın geçmişe dair hatıraların mutluluk üzerinde daha fazla etkisinin olduğu sonucuna varlmıştır.
