Abstract

Teknolojinin hızla gelişmesi, eğitim ve öğretimde yeni alternatiflerin ortaya çıkmasını sağlamıştır. Eğitim teknolojileri de bu hızlı gelişime uyum sağlamakta ve yeni öğretim yöntemleri ortaya çıkmaktadır. Daha fazla insana daha kısa sürede ulaşmak, kurumların ve kişilerin birbirleriyle olan iletişiminin daha hızlı ve ekonomik olması bu gelişimi daha da hızlandırmıştır. Bu teknolojik gelişimler eğitim-öğretim sistemi içerisinde uzaktan öğretim kavramının dünyada ve Türkiye’de de uygulanmasına sebep olmuştur. Uzaktan eğitim yöntemi ile zaman ve mekândan bağımsız olarak materyal tabanlı eğitimin verilmesinin de mümkün olması sayesinde, son dönemde öğrenciye tanınan eğitim imkanları artmaktadır. Diğer yönden uzaktan eğitimde başarıya ulaşmak ve hedeflenen öğretim kazanımlarının sağlanması için gelişen teknolojiyi takip etmek ve sürdürülebilirlik son derece önemlidir. Bu makalede, Marmara Üniversitesi Teknik Bilimler Meslek Yüksekokulu, Bilgisayar Programcılığı, İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği ve Moda Tasarımı Programcılığı uzaktan öğretim programlarının gelişimi açıklanmıştır. Uzaktan öğrenme öğrencilerinin başarı durumları, örgün eğitim programlarıyla karşılaştırılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Uzaktan eğitim sürecinde olumlu ve olumsuz yönler analiz edilmiştir.

Evaluation of Distance Learning Process of Marmara University Vocational School of Technical Sciences

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has led to the emergence of new alternatives in education and training. Educational technologies are also adapting to this rapid development and new teaching methods are emerging. Achieving more people in a shorter time, faster and more economical communication between institutions and people has accelerated this development. These technological developments have led to the implementation of the concept of distance learning within the education system both in Turkey and in the world. The education opportunities which are providing to the students due to the possibility of providing material-based education regardless of time and place with the distance education method are increasing in the last period. On the other hand, sustainability is essential to achieve success in distance education and to pursue emerging technology to achieve targeted learning gains. In this paper; development of the distance education programs of Marmara University Vocational School of Technical Sciences, Computer Programming, Occupational Health and Safety and Fashion Design Programming are explained. Distance learning students' achievement status is evaluated by comparing them with the formal training programs. Positive and negative opinions in the distance education process are analyzed
