In Turkey, the real effective exchange rate in recent years, significant declines were observed. The decline in the real effective exchange rate led to the increase in automobile prices. Accordingly, used automobile prices have also increased. In addition, high volatility in prices have observed in the used car market. Therefore, pricing the characteristics of used cars has become even more important. In summary, it can be stated that differences in automobile characteristics are an important determinant of price deviations. The aim of this study is to analyze the factors affecting used car prices. For this purpose, hedonic price model is used, which reveals the relationship between the properties of a good or service and its price. The sample of the study consists of 487 used cars that were offered for sale in Erzurum province in the June-August period. Characteristics and car brands that play a role in used car pricing are included in the model as price-influencing factors. The hedonic model is estimated in semi-logarithmic form by the Least Squares method. Estimation results revealed that automobile age, mileage, horsepower and the presence of replaced parts in the car were factors that negatively affected the price. On the other hand, the car is automatic and has diesel are the most important factors that affect the price positively. It has also been found that the brand variable has a significant effect on prices.
