Data Availability Policy

The journal Biological Diversity and Conservation (BioDiCon) supports transparency and open science in scientific research.

1. Data Availability Statement

All manuscript drafts submitted to the journal must include a mandatory statement under the heading "Data Availability Statement" immediately before the References section. Authors must indicate the status of the data for their article using one of the following options:

(  )  Option A (Public Repository): "The research data supporting this study are publicly available in [Name of Repository: e.g., Zenodo, Figshare, Dryad] with the permanent DOI link [URL/DOI]."

(  )  Option B (Upon Request): "The raw data supporting the findings of this study are available from the corresponding author [Author Initials] upon reasonable request and within ethical boundaries."

(  )  Option C (Third-Party Data): "The data used in this study were obtained from [Name of Institution/Source] and are subject to third-party restrictions regarding redistribution."

(  )  Option D (No Data): "No new data were created or analyzed in this study. Data sharing is not applicable to this article."

2. Ethical and Legal Restrictions

Sensitive data, such as precise geographic coordinates of endangered species, human survey data involving privacy issues, or proprietary/commercial data, may be restricted. In such cases, authors must explicitly state the reasons for the restriction in their Data Availability Statement.
