                            <p>Disk diffusion method was used to determine the antimicrobial activity of Pistacia terebinthus gal.Our standard microorganisms (Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 29213, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC27853, Enterococcus faecalis ATCC 29212, Escherichia coli ATCC 25922) were taken into brain heartinfusion broths and their concentrations were prepared according to Mc Farland 0.5 chart. Theywere inoculated on Mueller Hinton agar media using sterile swab sticks. Bacteria were incubated at35.5-36.5 degrees for 24 hours. The inhibition zones formed around the discs after incubation weremeasured with the help of a ruler and evaluations were made. GC-MS analysis of gal extract of P.terebinthus plant was performed. Approximately 85 components have been identified in the GCspectrum, besides the components contained in the extract and decomposition products are alsoavailable. The GC chromatogram of the extract is given, as well as the names and probability ratiosof the components determined on the fractions that can be analyzed. Gal extract of P. terebinthusplant has positive effect on gram (+) bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Enterococcus faecalis andinhibited bacteria to a large extent. Considering the harms of antibiotics, it is thought that it wouldbe more advantageous to use the extract in case of drug requirement, since the extract we extract isnatural.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>Pistacia terebinthus galinin antimikrobiyal aktivitesini tespit etmek için disk difüzyon yöntemikullanıldı. Standart mikroorganizmalarımız (Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 29213, Pseudomonasaeruginosa ATCC 27853, Enterococcus faecalis ATCC 29212, Escherichia coli ATCC 25922) brain heartinfüzyon brothlar içine alınarak Mc Farland 0.5 eşeline uyan konsantrasyonları hazırlandı. MuellerHinton agar besiyerlerine steril eküvyon çubuklar kullanılarak ekildi. Bakteriler 35.5-36.5 derecede24 saat inkübe edildi. İnkübasyon sonrası diskler etrafında oluşan inhibisyon bölgeleri bir cetvelyardımıyla ölçülerek değerlendirmeler yapıldı. P. terebinthus bitkisinin gal özütünün GC-MS analiziniyapılmıştır. GC spektrumunda yaklaşık 85 bileşen belirlenmiştir, özütün içerdiği bileşenlerin yanısırave dekompozisyon ürünleri de mevcuttur. Özüte ait GC kromatogramı verilmiştir, ayrıca analiziyapılabilen fraksiyonlar üzerlerine belirlenen bileşenlerin isimleri ve olasılık oranları belirtilmiştir. P.terebinthus bitkisinin gal özütü gram (+) bakteriler olan Staphylococcus aureus ve Enterococcusfaecalis üzerinde olumlu etkiye sahiptir ve büyük ölçüde bakterileri inhibe etmiştir. Antibiyotiklerinzararları düşünüldüğünde çıkardığımız özütün doğal olması ilaç gereksiniminde özütünkullanılmasının daha avantajlı olacağı düşünülmektedir.</p></abstract>
