Researches on the biology of the Bean Weevil [ <em>Acanthoscelides obtectus</em> (Say) (Col.:Bruchidae)] in Eskişehir.

Abstract

In this study which was carried out in 1991-1992 and Eskişehir, the biology of the bean weevil (Acanthoscelides  obtectus) was investigated. As a result of the research, it was found that the bean weevils reproduce continuously in the store during the winter and that adult emergence begins in September. It's females which copulated after emergence lay their eggs in heaps on bean capsules during the drying mature each, heap containing average 30±2.34 eggs, male: female sex rate being 1.148/1. The incubation period lasts 7-9 days and that the bean weevil undergoes fours larvae phases within the seed and the larvae complete their developing period in 39-58 days, that they convert into developed stage in pupa and cocoon, that this stage lasts for 12-19 days, later reaching to full development, that they give their first generation in field and this period is completed in 70-89 days, giving 3 in room temperature and total 4 generation in a year.

Eskişehir ilinde Fasulye tohumböceği [<em>Acanthoscelides obtectus</em> (Say) (Col.:Bruchidae)]'nin biyolojisi üzerinde araştırmalar.

Abstract

Eskişehir'de 1991-1992 yıllarında yürütülen bu çalışmada Fasulye tohumböceği [Acanthoscelides obtectus (Say)]'nin biyolojisi araştırılmıştır. Yapılan araştırmalar sonunda: Fasulye tohumböceği'nin kışı ambarda sürekli çoğalarak geçirdiği, eylül ayında ergin çıkışlarının başladığı, çıkış sonrası çiftleşen dişilerin yumurtalarını kümeler halinde kuru olumdaki fasulye kapsüllerine bıraktıkları, bir yumurta kümesinde ortalama 30±2.34 adet yumurta bulunduğu, cinsiyetler oranının 1.148/1 olduğu saptanmıştır. Yumurta gelişme süresinin 7-9 gün arasında değiştiği, larvaların tane içinde dört dönem geçirdiği ve larva gelişme süresinin 38-58 günde tamamlandığı, tane içinde pupa ve kokon içindeki ergin dönemin 12-19 gün sürdüğü, daha sonra erginlerin çıktığı belirlenmiştir. Tarlada 1 döl verdiği ve döl süresinin 70-89 gün arasında değiştiği, oda koşullarında 3 döl, yılda toplam 4 döl verdiği saptanmıştır.
