                                                                                                <trans-abstract xml:lang="tr">
                            <p>Nitratyeraltı ve yüzeysel sulardaki kirletici unsurlardan biridir ve nitratindirgenmesinde birçok farklı proses araştırılmıştır. Biotik ve abiotik olarakgerçekleştirilen nitrat indirgenmesinde çok çeşitli alternatifler mevcuttur.Bir diğer yönden nano ölçekli sıfır değerlikli demir (nZVI) atıksulardakibirçok kirleticinin giderimi için kullanılmaktadır. nZVI’ın elektron vericiolma özelliğinden dolayı daha çok kirleticilerin indirgenmesi çalışmalarındayer almasına neden olmuştur. Literatürde yer alan çalışmalar abiyotik vebiyotik indirgenmenin arka arkaya gerçekleştiği nZVI ile ototrofikdenitrifikasyonun bakteri nZVI işbirliğinden dolayı diğer yöntemlere göre dahaavantajlı olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu çalışmada da nitrat indirgenmesinde nZVIkullanımının rolü, avantajları ve indirgenme mekanizması, yapılanaraştırmalardan derleyerek sunulmuştur.</p></trans-abstract>
