Complementary Medicine methods are used widely and it is known that this methods have quite a lot benefits. Especially, cancer patients receiving chemotherapy use these methods for the side effects of the treatment.One of the serious side effects of chemotherapy is nausea and vomiting. In this article, complementary therapies which are frequently used for nausea and vomiting have been described to guide nurses’ caring for cancer patients.

ÖZETGünümüzde tamamlayıcı tedavi yöntemleri her noktada kullanılmakta ve yararlarının oldukça fazla olduğuna ilişkin görüşler yer almaktadır. Özellikle kemoterapi alan kanser hastaları tedavinin yan etkilerini önlemeye yönelik olarak bu yöntemleri kullanmakta- dırlar.Kemoterapinin ciddi yan etkilerinden biri de kusmadır. Bu makalede, kanser hastalarına bakım veren hemşireleri yönlendirmek amacıyla, bulantı-kusma için sıklıkla kullanılan tamamlayıcı tedavi yöntemleri anlatılmıştır.Anahtar kelimeler: Bulantı, kusma; Hemşirelik; Tamamlayıcı tedaviler.ABSTRACTComplementary Medicine methods are used widely and it is known that this methods have quite a lot benefits.
