Clinical Use of Anti-Mullerian Hormone in Female Cats and Dogs

Year 2021, Volume: 2 Issue: 2, 57 - 61, 31.12.2021

Abstract

Anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) is a glycoprotein hormone which is produced by ovaries, after the development of the Mullerian duct that gives rise to female reproductive organs such as the vagina, uterus and oviduct. The AMH is detected at measurable concentrations in the peripheral blood samples of adult queens and bitches. In recent studies has been indicated that the use of AMH analysis in clinical examinations has contributed to reproductive endocrinology. The AMH which is produced by only granulosa cells of the ovary, is facilitated the diagnosis of many physiological and pathological conditions of queens and bitches. In the current review, a recent information about the factors affecting the AMH concentrations and the clinical indication of AMH are presented.

Anti-Müllerian Hormonun Dişi Kedi ve Köpeklerde Klinik Kullanımı

Year 2021, Volume: 2 Issue: 2, 57 - 61, 31.12.2021
