Türkiye’de mimarlık eğitimi, teorik, uygulamalı ve seçmeli dersler olmak üzere üç ana gruptan oluşmaktadır. Mimari tasarım dersleri mimarlık programında önemli yer teşkil ederken, ikinci grupta tasarım derslerini destekleyen yapı dersleri yer almaktadır. Yapı dersleri, öğrencinin yapı, yapım sistemleri, yapı bileşenleri ve yapı elemanlarını öğrenebildiği bir eğitim sürecini içermektedir. Bu eğitim süreci, her öğrencinin eğitmenler tarafından verilen totaliter bilgi aktarımı ile iki ve üç boyutlu uygulamaları ürettiği kapsamlı bir uygulamalı derstir. Bir yapı dersinin çıktısı, ders kapsamındaki süreklilik ve verilen uygulamaların ısrarlı tekrarı ile bina yapım bilgisinin öğrenilmesidir. Bu çalışma, İzmir Yüksek Teknoloji Enstitüsü Mimarlık Bölümü’nde 1. Sınıf düzeyinde verilmekte olan Yapı Teknolojisi ve Bilimi I dersinin sürecini inceleyerek 2021 yılındaki öğrenci verileri üzerinden çizim ve maket performansını mimari yapı eğitimi bağlamında incelemeyi ve değerlendirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu çalışmada öğrencilerin aldıkları notlar istatiksel olarak incelenmiş olup, bu sürecin belirlenen kriterler bazında değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır.
Architectural education in Turkey consists of three main groups: theoretical, applied, and elective courses. While architectural design courses have an important place in the architecture program, the second group includes construction courses that support design courses. Building construction courses include an educational process in which students can learn about construction, construction systems, building components, and building elements. This training process is a comprehensive hands-on course in which each student produces two- and three-dimensional applications with totalitarian knowledge transfer given by the instructors. The output of a construction course is the learning of building construction knowledge through the continuity of the course and the persistent repetition of the given exercises. This study aims to examine and evaluate the drawing and physical model performance in the context of architectural building education based on the student data in 2021 by examining the process of the Building Technology and Science I course, which is given at the 1st-grade level at the Izmir Institute of Technology, Department of Architecture. In this study, the grades taken by the students were analyzed statistically, and this process was evaluated on the basis of the determined criteria.
