ORTODONTİDE KULLANILAN MATERYALLERİN VE ADEZİV SİSTEMLERİN TUTUCULUKLARINA GENEL BİR BAKIŞ

Abstract

Ortodontik tedavi ile düzgün sıralanmış dişlere ve güzel bir gülümsemeye sahip olmak birçok birey için arzu edilen bir durumdur. Ortodontik tedaviye olan isteğin her geçen gün artması birçok yeniliği de beraberinde getirmiştir. Eskiden dişler üzerine siman ile yapıştırılıp kuvvet uygulanabilen bantlar hem estetik değildi hem de detaylı diş hareketleri yaptırmak zor ve yorucuydu. Yıllar içinde bantlar yerini braket sistemlerine bıraktı ve ortodonti alanında braketlerin diş yüzeyine tatmin edici bir şekilde bağlanabilmesi önemli bir konu haline geldi. Yeni geliştiren adeziv sistemler, braket çeşitleri, braket taban yapıları, farklı mine yüzeyi pürüzlendirme yöntemleri, kullanılan polimerizasyon cihazlarındaki gelişmeler diş braket arasındaki bağlanma kuvvetini daha ileri seviyelere taşımaya yardımcı oldu. Bütün bu gelişmeler ortodontistin tedavi sürecinde daha az sıkıntı ile karşılaşmasını ve daha hızlı tedaviler yapabilmesini sağladı.

An Overview of the Bonding Strength of Orthodontic Materials and Adhesive Systems

Abstract

Having properly
aligned teeth and a beautiful smile with orthodontic treatment is desirable for
many individuals. The demand for orthodontic treatment has increased with every
passing day and brought many innovations together. In the past, the bands that
were pasted with cement on the teeth and applied force were not both aesthetic
and difficult to get detailed tooth movements and tired. Over the years, the
bands have left their place to bracket systems and it has become an important
issue to be able to connect the brackets to the tooth surface satisfactorily in
the field of orthodontics. New developments in adhesive systems, bracket types,
bracket base structures, different enamel surface etching methods, improvements
in the used polymerizers have helped to improve the bonding strength between
tooth and bracket. All these developments enabled the orthodontist to meet less
difficulty in the treatment process and to perform faster treatments.
